Resurrected Death Announcement #11 - detail

About the discarded printer toner pigment:
I use pigments from color printers that use four basic colors: cyan, magenta, yellow and black (CMYK). These colors are combined in different proportions to produce the full range of colors in prints.
During printing, some pigment is left over and collected in a separate waste container inside the printer. Since the container holds pigments from all four toners, the resulting mixture is grey. I collect these containers, destined for destruction, break them open and use the discarded pigment particles as material for paintings, depicting images and texts that would otherwise never have existed.
